BESAM Inc. is based in Crofton, MD and is pleased to provide automatic door solutions for the United States, Canada and Mexico. Besam Inc. is a subsidiary of Besam AB Sweden, which was founded in 1962. Besam gets its name from our founder, Bertil Samuelsson.

BESAM USA began market research activities in the mid-1970s and accelerated North American market penetration in 1978 when they moved from modest quarters in Connecticut to a modern corporate headquarters/manufacturing complex in Hightstown, New Jersey. That same year, Besam, Inc. purchased New Jersey Automatic Door, Inc., the largest automatic door distributor in the country. That acquisition proved to be an invaluable addition to the Besam USA effort. Years later, Besam, Inc. established factory owned district locations in San Francisco; Chicago; Detroit; Charlotte; Boca Raton; Baltimore/Washington; Atlanta; Dallas; Houston and Boston. With one management team for both manufacturing and local distribution, vivid insights into Distributor problems were better derived.
