Saarinen Video and Eerogram Earn Top Honours
The video created by ASSA ABLOY that highlights the company’s sponsorship of the Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future exhibition, was bestowed a Stevie Award for “Best Public Relations Video” at last week’s 2008 American Business awards.
Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May.
The winning video communicates the importance of Eero Saarinen to the architectural and design community and encourages people to attend the traveling exhibition. The exhibition, currently in Washington, DC moves to Minneapolis in September then to St. Louis in January 2009 with subsequent stops in New York City and New Haven, Connecticut.
Additionally, ASSA ABLOY’s eerogram has been awarded a “Silver” distinction from the Connecticut Art Directors Club. eerogram was selected in the e-news category and awarded from a total of 466 submissions from 48 different companies. The judges for the award are Connecticut based art directors.
