Energy efficient door offered by Fleming Door, CECO Door and CURRIES meets UL ISR 102 standard.
The Trio-E door from ASSA ABLOY Group brands Fleming Door, CECO Door and CURRIES, has been certified to the new UL Environment UL ISR 102 standard. The new standard helps gauge the environmental and human health impacts of various products such as swing, hang, or glide door slabs, Trio-E is the first door to be certified to these strict sustainability requirements, attaining the silver level.
UL ISR 102 provides detailed requirements with which to evaluate the environmental impacts related to producing a variety of door types. The life cycle impact of doors is measured throughout the materials management, energy use, water use, manufacturing and operations, health and environment, product performance, product stewardship and innovative practices of production. These new guidelines will help architects, designers and LEED-APs select environmentally preferable door slabs.
The Trio-E door is steel stiffened for strength, but has achieved an operable U Factor of 0.29 which is 50% better than other steel stiffened doors currently available on the market today. Building owners spend millions of dollars a year on energy bills and the Trio-E represents a chance for them to realize significant savings on a new or retrofit project. The Trio-E door is manufactured in the USA from over 57% recycled steel and can be supplied to meet urgent jobsite demands.
